
What is the SWCD?
Crow Wing Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) works hand in hand with private landowners to accomplish soil and water conservation goals. We coordinate with nonprofits and other agencies to provide technical and financial assistance for landowners to protect the land and water resources we all enjoy.

Melissa Barrick
District Manager
Melissa provides SWCD staff management, grant writing, SWCD board coordination and meetings.

Tasha Lauer
Finance and Grant Coordinator
Tasha provides financial records for all SWCD grants, invoicing/billing, assists with our website and YouTube content, and records SWCD Board Minutes.

Jarrett Drileck
Shoreline Technician
Jarrett will complete technical conservation work independently and manage site visit programs, past projects, and grant funds and programs.

Chris Andree
Watershed Coordinator
Chris will be completing the water sampling and testing of the lakes and streams in our area.

Heidi Lake
Administrative Assistant
Heidi assists conservation easement landowners.

Sam works with landowners on agroforestry practices and how to best conserve and manage their woods.

District Supervisors
Monthly Board Meeting of Supervisors are held on the third Wednesday, of every month at 9:00 am in the Crow Wing County Land Services Building, Oak Meeting Room, at 322 Laurel St. Brainerd, MN 56401
