Red Tree Planter 20 Inch Coulter

Service Description

The Crow Wing Soil and Water Conservation District has a tree planter available for use on a first come, first use basis. A $100 deposit is required. This deposit is refundable when the tree planter is returned in an acceptable condition, determined by SWCD staff. A $100 dollar per day fee for use of the planter is required. Red Tree Planter from Detco Mfg: This unit is designed to plant in fallowed ground. Pre till is not required, and not recommended.  We recommend pre mowing with a bush hog if you have tall weeds, brush or crop refuse.  Not suitable for very rocky areas.  Horse power requirements are 32 to 70 hp. 20 inch coulter, with 2 seats facing the operator. Tractor is needed with this model as is attached via 3-point hitch to raise and lower the planter. Planter comes off of the trailer frame for planting.  Funding provided by LCCMR.
